Rachel's Darkroom was set up by artist and tutor Rachel I'Anson in 2008.
We run workshops on site, Rachel is also available for community teaching and has an enhanced CRB check.
Rachel's first love is B&W!! Currently she is exploring Victorian processes and pinhole photography. With over ten years teaching experience in Adult Education and schools, Rachel is available to run workshops and community projects on all aspects of photography.
In 2009 she co-ordinated and ran a project with Vestry House Museum, E17 based on Waltham Forest which culminated in the production of a photographic tea service with ceramic artist Alice Mara. The tea service is in the permanent collection at Vestry House.
The darkroom is equipped for film processing and printing negatives up to 5x4"; it has an archival print washer and can dry both resin coated and fibre based prints.
The workshops are relaxed and fun, and tailored to learners' individual needs. Please feel free to email any questions or for a booking form.
